About Us

In 1953, Joe and Nellie Patane decided to venture into the pizza business after purchasing a house on the corner of 45th and Leavenworth. Joe was a carpenter by trade and renovated the house into a small establishment he appropriately named LaCasa – meaning “the house” in Italian. Joe and Nellie, along with their three daughters, used family recipes to create the Neapolitan style pizza, salad dressings, and signature pasta sauces and specialties still enjoyed by customers today.
LaCasa was one of the first pizzerias in Omaha and the first to feature Romano cheese. Our thin crust, Romano cheese, and house-cooked and seasoned ground beef became our signature pizza. We focus on quality ingredients and house made items and while pizza is the top draw, many have discovered our wonderful pastas, lasagnas, and Italian specialties. Sandwiches, Calzones, and desserts have also been added over the years, creating a menu that will appeal to many customers’ tastes.

LaCasa has many specialty pizzas, but you can also create your own with over 24 toppings to choose from. We feature five different lasagnas and Italian specialty dishes like Eggplant or Chicken Parmigiana. The traditional Spaghetti and Meatballs is a customer favorite as well as our Toasted Ravioli and Onion Rings. Looking for a little more variety – our Cannelloni and Arancini feature seasonal ingredients and we offer different pizza and pasta specials each month.
